This Couldn't Possibly Happen in America…Could It?

Yesterday, I warned you about the coming Great Repression.
And why I believe November 3rd could mark a major turning point.
Now, I know this sounds extreme.
After all, this is AMERICA – land of the free.
Surely our government would never trap our money in the system…
Or use our savings to help pay off its debts.
Except that's EXACTLY what Washington has done before.
After World War II, America's debt had grown larger than our entire economy.
So Washington needed a way to shrink it.
And just like so many countries did…
America turned to the same Repression playbook…
And started slamming the exits shut.
By then, the government had already seized control of all gold deposits in the country using the Gold Reserve Act.
But they didn’t stop there.
Washington also imposed a massive tax and strict limits on American citizens and businesses trying to invest money abroad.
Then, through something called Regulation Q…
The government effectively banned banks from paying deposit rates above a certain amount…
All under the guise of “stopping excessive competition between the banks”...
But really just meant that savers were being bled dry.
That’s why Regulation Q was called “the largest government-led consumer fraud in American history”...
And is estimated to have cost American savers billions of dollars in lost interest.
Meanwhile, inflation was raging out of control.
Right after the war…
Consumer prices surged over 20%.
The cost of food jumped more than 50%.
And the prices of meat, poultry and fish more than doubled.
The government shrank the debt load…
But ordinary Americans paid the price.
And here's what should really concern you.
I believe Washington isn't just capable of doing this again…
It's ALREADY laying the groundwork.
In fact, I've identified THREE chess pieces that I believe Washington is putting into place right now.
